Today I opened a new book, Pleasure Activism by adrienne maree brown and read this passage:
“How much love would feel like enough? Can you imagine being healed enough? Happy enough? Connected enough? Having enough space to actually live it? Can you imagine being free enough?

As we head into Giving Tuesday, it can feel overwhelming and even icky to wade through the barrage of emails. Reading some of them I feel stuck - as if they’re telling me an issue will never be resolved without me giving more and more, for an infinite number of years … and that makes me feel hopeless.
Yet, I’ve had some new thinking about how I engage this day.
This year I am giving and connecting from a place that expands the possibilities of what is possible for our world.
When we believe in a deep rooted vision and a hopeful way forward we aren’t filling a gap, we are paving the road ahead.
Since becoming a mother I have a new appreciation of incentives! Where once I thought of them as manipulating me into doing something I don’t want to do, at their best and most useful, incentives can be a caring way to open up new possibilities. (No, Desta, don’t play with the lamp plug - here’s a ribbon instead. And see it floats and dances in the air!)

Today and tomorrow the platform I’m using for the campaign has cash incentives.
For campaigns that get the most people to donate and that get the most dollars raised the site will match funds and even give cash prizes of $1,000, $2,000, 5,000, $10,000 and $20,000!
