Friends,
I know, I haven't sent and update since March! There's a lot to share and I've posted it below. I hope you'll take time to connect with whatever draws your attention.
While things are being shaken up and pulled apart, I am hopeful that we are realizing the depth of our connections to each other and to the planet. I am grateful for my connection to each of you on this list, who take the time to read about, connect with, and support my work.
With love,
Kayhan
UPCOMING:
JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL BOULDER, COLORADO
The Jaipur Literature Festival is an iconic annual festival, I'm so glad to be part of the US version. I'm on three panels and am moderating two other conversations. Tons of great authors, events, and fun!
WE'VE COME UNDONE 2.0
I'm reviving my solo show. The piece explores the effects of scapegoating and post 9/11 "security" policies on Arab, South Asian, and Muslim communities. The update will include interactive digital elements and audience participation. I want to use the convening power of the theater as another civic space where we have necessary conversations relevant to our democracy.

STORYTELLING TRAINING FOR NYC "BIRTH JUSTICE CHAMPIONS"
Coming out of the great work of the Sexual and Reproductive Justice Community Engagement Group, supported by the Bureau of Infant and Maternal Health at the NYC DOHMH, I am leading a team of trainers to build the capacity of Birth Justice Champions. These champions will build the power and agency of pregnant community members, in areas with inequitable maternal health outcomes. I can't wait to see what we create together!
