Kayhan named a White House Champion of Change
On Wednesday, May 4, 2016 the White House recognized ten individuals from across the country as "White House Champions of Change for Asian American and Pacific Islander Art and Storytelling."
These ten individuals were selected for their leadership and tireless work to raise the visibility of diverse AAPI experiences and create dialogue around issues the community faces. The White House and White House Initiative on AAPIs are honoring artists and advocates who have used unique channels and diverse platforms to tell powerful stories, increase awareness around key AAPI issues, and encourage diversity and inclusion in all sectors of society.

Upon her return, the play was given a staged reading in London, at the Actors Centre, during their Women in the Arts Festival. The play was also awarded development support by Queens College's Kupferberg Center for the Arts as part of their First Acts Project.
